Katherine Bruce

Katherine is an internal communications specialist. She says:

"Hello. Every day I write employee communications for companies throughout the UK. Newsletters, Employer Value Propositions, film scripts, cascade packs … I take basic information and transform it into something that employees can understand, remember and even, dare I say it, enjoy!"

Katharine Coulton

I'm the owner of The Absolute Word, an Edinburgh-based copywriting, proofreading and English tuition service.

Having gained my undergraduate degree in English Studies at Stirling and a PGCE in Secondary English from Oxford Brookes, then taught for eight years as Assistant Head of Department, I am now on sabbatical studying a Master's in Comparative Literature at Glasgow. Consequently, The Absolute Word specialises in proofreading student essays and dissertations, as well as providing guidance and tuition to students of all ages and abilities, in your home or via Skype sessions. We also offer corporate copywriting and editing, interview training, job application and CV assistance, workshops for schools, refresher courses for businesses, and public speaking coaching.

Tarn Gordon-Rogers

I'm an Edinburgh-based freelance copywriter with over ten years of experience. Much of this time was spent in London, working for fistfuls of top digital advertising agencies and production companies, such as RKCR/Y&R and The Mill. My experience is wide-ranging, having worked on ad campaigns from start to finish, written brochures, DM communications, complete websites, banner ads, video scripts and more. Quick and inventive with tone of voice, and a writer at heart (with an MA in Creative Writing), I love a copy challenge. So whether you're after something written from scratch, or your copy needs tidying and livening up, I'll make sure you get the most out of what you want to say.

Recent copy work includes e-commerce copy for Virgin Media, blog posts for The Glenlivet and a movie tie-in website for Marvel.
