Belinda Cunnison

I have been copy-editing on a freelance basis since 2002. During this time I have worked in social sciences and humanities – mostly politics, economic theory/analysis, environmental studies and current affairs – and frequently with writers working in English as a second language.

I can help to make writing both more accurate and more accessible to its readers and to communicate with writers throughout the process, using track changes and encouraging dialogue. I work on dissertations to improve the readability and consistency of the work, without interfering with content.

My publisher clients include Edinburgh University Press, the European Consortium for Political Research, Oxford University Press, and various book packagers for Routledge, and I have also edited human rights reports for the European Commission for Human Rights (Glasgow). I am a Professional Member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.
